This weekend, I had the absolute privilege of showcasing Secure Space Kit at the 11th Annual Quota Gold Coast High Tea, an event that beautifully combined community, purpose, and connection. What began as a simple product idea, to help people feel safer while travelling has grown into something much more meaningful. And this event reminded me exactly why.
Turning Conversations Into Confidence
Throughout the afternoon, I had the opportunity to meet so many incredible women, each with their own travel stories, concerns, and experiences.
One of the most powerful moments was demonstrating the portable door lock. There’s always a pause when I explain it… and then a shift.
“Wait—so this stops someone getting in, even with a key?”
That moment—when someone realises they can take control of their own safety is exactly why Secure Space Kit exists.
Alongside the door lock, I introduced:
A personal alarm designed to draw attention instantly
RFID protection to prevent digital theft while travelling
Practical, lightweight tools that fit seamlessly into everyday travel
Making Safety Accessible
For the event, I introduced a special bundle offer to make it even easier for people to get started, allowing them to select multiple items at a reduced price.
The response was incredible.
Not just in sales (which were strong and steady throughout the day), but in how quickly people understood the value of building their own personalised safety kit. It inspired me to pull apart our major Kits and include the option to BYO - Build Your Own Mini Kit which I have just updated on the website today.
A Partnership That Matters
What made the day even more special was the opportunity to support Hope in a Suitcase, a charity doing truly life-changing work. Their mission is simple, but deeply impactful: To provide children entering foster care with brand-new suitcases and essentials, replacing the heartbreaking reality of belongings being carried in plastic bags.
Last year alone, they distributed over 2,000 suitcases—without government funding.
Being able to contribute 20% of all Secure Space Kit sales from the event to this cause felt incredibly aligned with what the brand stands for.
What’s Next
This is just the beginning.
With more events, refined demonstrations, and continued partnerships with meaningful causes, Secure Space Kit is growing into exactly what I hoped it would be, a brand that helps people feel safer, more confident, and more in control.
