What are the restrictions, and why are they being introduced?

While travellers can continue to carry portable power banks on flights, they will no longer be able to use them. Those looking to recharge handheld devices such as mobile phones, or laptops and headphones can do so using in-seat USB charging ports, where available. Power banks themselves, however, cannot be charged via the ports. Passengers will also be required to store power banks where they are easily reachable — under the seat in front, seat pocket or with passengers themselves. They are valid for carry-on luggage only.

Allowed in carry-on and checked baggage. Most alarms use standard, non-rechargeable button batteries that fall under safe-to-carry regulations. (Important: Cannot be activated in-flight — obviously.)

Hidden Camera Detector

Allowed in carry-on and checked baggage. This device uses low-power LEDs or sensors and does not emit restricted signals.

RFID-Blocking Wallet / Sleeves

100% allowed anywhere in your bag. These contain no electronics, no batteries, and no surprises for airport scanners.

Anti-Tamper Zipper Locks

Approved for both carry-on and checked baggage. These do not contain prohibited locking mechanisms, blades, or pressurised materials.

Coded Wire Locks

Allowed in carry-on and checked baggage. Flexible cable locks fall well within TSA/airport guidelines.

Mini First-Aid Kit

Allowed in carry-on and checked baggage, with one quick note: Travel regulations only apply restrictions to liquids over 100 mL or sharp items. Your kit contains no prohibited liquids, drugs or sharps, so you’re good to go.

Portable Powerbank

Allowed in carry-on only, not checked. This is a global aviation rule for lithium-ion batteries. Your included powerbank is safely under the 100Wh threshold recognised by most major airlines.
